The Roebuck reopens

Marston’s celebrates the re-opening of The Roebuck in Market Harborough
28th Sept 2020

Following a major accidental fire last year, the pub has undergone a complete rebuild and is ready to welcome guests back through the door.

It was due to open earlier this year and was put on hold as a result of the pandemic. It’s great to be celebrating this milestone during a trying time for the hospitality industry.

It’s been purposefully designed with a fresh new look that celebrates everything you love about a traditional pub with a splash of contemporary in the design. There are dedicated areas for everyone’s needs – a restaurant for more formal dining, a lounge area for casual food and drink, and a snug at the far end for cosy moments.

On the menu, you’ll find a wide selection of pub favourites and home cooked specials, alongside a full selection of drinks and a cocktail station.

Ahead of the reopening, a team of over 30 has been recruited led by General Manager Lynsey Pratt, who is bringing 10 years of experience in hospitality to the site.

She said: “I’m really looking forward to getting started. This is the start of a new chapter for The Roebuck and the team and I are all looking forward to welcoming guests back to try the new menu and make themselves at home here.”

Andy Kershaw, Group Head of Estates who oversaw the rebuild, said: “During an unusual time for us all, we are really pleased the pub is able to reopen and has the opportunity to reinstate itself within the local community. We received some wonderful support from local residents during the rebuild and look forward to seeing customers safely enjoy The Roebuck once again.”
