Marston’s Dragon Boat Race team makes a splash with £4,500 fundraising success

There were smiles, cheers and splashes aplenty at Himley Hall as colleagues from across Marston’s came together for this year’s Dragon Boat Race – raising an incredible £4,500 for two brilliant causes.
More than 20 team members took to the water, bringing together a mix of first-time paddlers and seasoned dragon boat veterans, all pulling in the same direction for Wolverhampton Rotary Club and the Marston’s Foundation.
This year’s fundraising total builds on a proud history at the Himley Hall event, with Marston’s now having raised more than £15,000 through the race in recent years.
Funds raised will help Wolverhampton Rotary Club continue its work bringing people together to give their time, skills and energy to improve the lives of others – supporting causes locally, nationally and internationally.
The Marston’s Foundation, meanwhile, is the company’s dedicated platform for giving back, bringing together the generosity of our pubs, teams, partners and guests to support worthwhile local causes that make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
The team was backed by colleagues, friends and family cheering from the sidelines, helping to create a fantastic atmosphere and a day to remember.
