Marston’s pubs recognised at Great British Pub Awards
23rd June 2026
Seven pubs from across the Marston’s estate have been shortlisted among the UK’s best at the Great British Pub Awards 2026, one of the most prestigious annual celebrations of pub excellence in the UK.
Among the standout pubs up for an award is The Milestone in Willenhall, which is in the running for the title of Best Community Pub. A further six Marston’s pubs have been recognised in the prestigious Marston’s Pub of the Year category, including:
- The Crown in Albrighton, Wolverhampton
- The Honey Bee in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
- Longshore in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex
- The Newton Grange in Brasside, Durham
- Warton Arms in Woodmansey, Beverley
- White Hart Inn in Aston on Trent, Derby
Often referred to as the “Oscars of the pub industry,” the Great British Pub Awards showcases the most outstanding pubs in the UK and the teams and operators setting the standard across the sector. For Marston's, this year's shortlist reflects the breadth of its estate - from brilliant locals and food-led venues to pubs that have become central to the rhythm of community life.
Neil Campbell, Chief Operations Officer at Marston’s, said:
“Seeing seven Marston’s pubs recognised at the Great British Pub Awards is a proud moment for the whole business, but most of all for the teams who make these pubs what they are. These nominations recognise care, graft and a real understanding of what guests want from a great local pub.
“Each finalist has its own character and its own community around it, which is exactly what makes pubs so special. Whether it’s a warm welcome, a well-run service, a family meal, a pint after work or the kind of local connection you can’t fake, these teams are showing the best of Marston’s. We’re hugely proud of them and wish them every success in the next stage of judging.”
Ed Bedington, editor of The Morning Advertiser, which organises the awards, said:
I’m delighted to be revealing this year’s finalists for the Great British Pub Awards. This year saw a huge number of entries into the competition and for the pubs that have made it into the finals, that’s a massive achievement.
“But the hard work doesn’t end here. Judges will now be hitting the road to visit each of our shortlisted finalists around the UK and they will have to have a final panel interview before the results are decided. Good luck to all this year’s finalists - I and my fellow judges look forward to visiting you over the coming weeks.”
The winning pubs will be announced on 23rd September 2026 at the First Direct Bank Arena in Leeds. For more information and the full list of finalists, visit: Great British Pub Awards 2026 - 2026 Finalists
