Raise a Glass for Our Veterans

This Remembrance season, we’re proud to bring back our commemorative glassware—now featuring a brand-new design created by Royal Marine veteran Colin Waite. Available from 2nd November at selected Marston’s pubs, this exclusive limited-edition glassware is a meaningful way to show your support for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

  • Half pint glass – £2.50
  • Pint glass – £3.00

Each stylish glass is a lasting tribute to the Armed Forces community—and 100% of profits go directly to the Royal British Legion and Poppyscotland: £0.83 from each half pint glass and £1.19 from each pint glass.

These donations are made via Royal British Legion Trading Limited, which passes its taxable profits to the charities (Charity Nos. 219279 & SC014096).

More Than a Keepsake
This year’s design was created by Colin Waite, a Royal Marine veteran who served during the Falklands War. Art has played a vital role in Colin’s recovery from PTSD, and his work honours the lives lost in the conflict. By choosing this glass, you’re not only supporting the Poppy Appeal—you’re backing a veteran’s journey and helping others like him.

“The Royal British Legion has provided lots of practical support to me. They have been brilliant with me; it’s an honour to be able to give back and support the charity.” – Colin Waite

Community Events & Fundraising
Many of our pubs will also be hosting family-friendly events and fundraising activities throughout the Remembrance period. It’s a chance to come together, reflect, and show appreciation for those who serve.

Supporting our Veterans

At Marston’s, we’re proud to stand with those who serve, have served and their families. In partnership with the Ministry of Defence, we actively provide employment opportunities and support for the Armed Forces community.

We’re honoured to be the only pub company in the UK to hold the Gold Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme. A mark of our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and to supporting those who serve.

Through our recruitment partnerships, we ensure that veterans and military family members have access to a wide range of opportunities across Marston’s. We advertise roles on dedicated military job boards and work closely with local and national organisations to promote Marston’s as not only an employer of choice, but also a welcoming place to visit and connect.

Explore our opportunities

Together, we continue to raise a glass in honour of the Armed Forces community—and proudly support the Royal British Legion this Remembrance season.
