Entrants may enter the promotion multiple times at the same participating pub during the promotional period with no maximum cap on entries per person. You cannot enter at more than one participating pub.

Any entry Criteria:

Teams must have four players, all aged 18+ and UK residents (excl NI). No employees or immediate families of Marston’s PLC may enter. Teams can only enter at one participating pub but may enter multiple times at that pub. Register by completing a registration form in-pub with team and contact details. Entry is only on designated Game Nights (as defined below); all team members must be present. Teams play a one-off match (best of 3 legs, 501 SIDO, each member plays a leg). Only teams who win their match are entered into the prize draw.

The Promoter

1. The Promoter is Marston's PLC (company number 00031461) with its registered office at St Johns House, St Johns Square, Wolverhampton WV2 4BH (the "Promoter").

Entry Requirements

2. This promotion is open to residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Northern Ireland), aged 18 or over, excluding employees/directors of the Promoter, such employees/directors’ immediate families/households or anyone else professionally involved with this promotion.

3. This is an in-pub promotion, entrants are required to register their team details by completing a registration form in a participating pub.

How to Enter

4. On any Cool Hand Cup Game Night (which will take place on specific evenings between 2nd February 2026 and 1st March 2026 that are decided by the participating pub at their discretion) (“Game Night”) a team that has not pre-registered for the Cool Hand Cup main tournament may request to enter the Lucky Draw Route as a Lucky Draw Team.

5. All Game Nights are pre-arranged and Lucky Draw Teams may only enter the Lucky Draw Route on a Game Night.

6. To enter, the Lucky Draw Team captain must register their team by completing an in-pub registration form at the participating pub. Required information for registration: Team Name, Captain’s Name, Email Address & Phone Number.

7. Teams must consist of four (4) players, all aged 18 or over. No team member may be an employee of Marston’s PLC.

8. The nominated league manager at the participating pub will select a team for the Lucky Draw Team to play a one-off match against. In this respect the managers decision is final.

9. The match will be played under the following rule: best of 3 legs (first to 2), 501 SIDO (Single In, Double Out), each team member plays a leg, home team throws first, check out on a double or bullseye.

10. Each game must have a completed score card, counter-signed by both teams. Scores may be recorded on a paper chart or chalk board during play. Completed score cards must be handed in to the nominated league manager at the participating pub.

11. If the Lucky Draw Team wins, the Team Name will be recorded by the nominated league manager at the participating pub and entered into the prize draw.

12. By entering as a Luck Draw Team, all team members acknowledge that there is no guarantee that a scheduled team will be available or will agree to play against a Lucky Draw Team on any given Game Night.

13. The Promoter and/or the participating pub are under no obligation to arrange, find, or provide a team for the Lucky Draw Team to play against.

14. If no suitable team is available, the Lucky Draw Team’s entry will not proceed and neither the Promoter nor the pub will be liable for any loss, disappointment, or costs incurred.

The Prizes

15. The winning team will receive attendance at Marston’s Grand Final Event plus a £500 accommodation & travel allowance (per team), plus a set of Luke Humphries Red Dragon darts per team member

16. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash equivalent is available.

Lucky Draw Prize Winners

17. After the 1st March 2026 one winning team will be selected at random under independent supervision, from all eligible Lucky Draw Team (i.e. those who won their Game Night match)

18. The team captain of the winning team will be notified promptly using the details provided on registration with details on how to claim the prize.

19. The Promoter will take all reasonable steps to contact the winning team captain, but if there is no response within 3 days, or the contact details are invalid, the Promoter reserves the right to re-allocate the invite to another winning team without liability to the first winning team.

20. In the event that any winning team is unable to attend the Grand Final then places will be reallocated at the Promoter discretion. Any team or team member who is unable to attend the Grand Final (whether that be due to matters outside their control or otherwise) forfeits their right to participate and surrenders their claim to all or any part of the prizes.

21. The Promoter is not responsible for any costs or inconvenience incurred by winners who are unable to attend the Grand Final for any reason.

22. The Grand Final will take place on Friday 10th April 2026 at The Boundary, Lea Vale, Broadmeadows, South Normanton, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 3NA.

23. The winning team will receive:

  • x 4 tickets to the Marston’s Grand Final (1 ticket per team member) on Tuesday 24th March 2026 at The Boundary, Lea Vale, Broadmeadows, South Normanton, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 3NA
  • £500 contribution per team towards accommodation and travel costs for the purposes of attending the Grand Final. This is strictly limited to hotel accommodation, petrol, diesel, taxi or public transport costs. Valid receipts must be produced to Marston’s by the Team Captain when requested. Marston’s will reimburse costs up to £500 to the Team Captain within 14 days of receiving the receipts via email.
  • The winning team will be responsible for all other incidental costs connected to the prize including attendance costs in excess of £500, parking charges, toll charges, food, drinks and sustenance.
Data Protection and Privacy

24. Your privacy is important to us. We will only process the personal data you provide in connection with this promotion to administer your entry and/or as otherwise required by law. 25. In accordance with the current guidelines that govern promotions in the UK, if you are a main prize winner, we may publish, or make available on request, information that confirms an award took place – that is your surname, county and, if applicable, the entry itself. You have the right to object, or to ask for less information to be made available. 26. If you are selected to participate in the Grand Final, we may use your personal data to announce the winner and for reasonable promotional purposes connected to the promotion, including recording the event and using the recording for promotional purposes.

Limits on the Promoter's responsibilities and Indemnities

27. Subject to clause 23, winners agree to be fully responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and/or tax liabilities incurred in claiming and using the prizes. The Promoter will not be responsible for any loss or injury resulting from entry into the promotion or a winner's acceptance of the prize.

28. The Promoter will not be responsible for losses, failures or delays relating to circumstances beyond its reasonable control including (but not limited to) acts of God, war, strikes, disputes, third party website or platforms (including social media) not in its direct control or the acts or defaults of any supplier of the prizes, including non-attendance by Luke Humphries.

29. Except for his participation in this promotion, Luke Humphries is not associated or affiliated with the Promoter in any other way.

30. The Promoter will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury to an entrant that is not reasonably foreseeable. The Promoter's responsibility for any damage, loss or injury to an entrant under these terms and conditions or otherwise in connection with the promotion shall be limited to the value of the prize won by the entrant.

31. The Promoter will not be responsible for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connections or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit entrants' ability to participate in the promotion. The Promoter does not guarantee that the Website will be operational on any specific device or system or that it will be error free or available all the time.

32. The Promoter will be liable for any death or personal injury arising from its negligence. Nothing in these terms and conditions will exclude that liability or any other liability, which it is not lawful to exclude.

33. Each entrant will indemnify (and will keep indemnified) the Promoter and its affiliates against all costs, claims, losses, damages, expenses (including legal expenses) or other liability arising as a result of a breach of these terms and conditions, negligence or any other action which imposes an unreasonable burden on the Website including (but not limited to) the use of software robots.

General

34. By entering, entrants agree to these terms and conditions together with the other polices on the Website, including the terms of use.

35. All winning entrants agree to participate in any reasonable publicity arranged by the Promoter without recompense.

36. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

37. Subject to clause 25, the name and county of the main prize winners can be obtained for up to 6 months following the closing date by sending a self-addressed envelope to the Promoter’s address set out above citing the name of the promotion.

38. The Promoter reserves the right to eliminate or disqualify any entries or entrants who the Promoter has reasonable grounds for believing are in breach of these conditions.

39. The Website may contain links to other websites, including those belonging to the Promoter's partners. These links are provided for convenience and are not under the control of the Promoter and as such we make no warranty, either expressed or implied, concerning the content of such sites including claims of infringement or that such sites are devoid of viruses or error free.

40. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions without prior notice at any time, for whatever reason, and without liability to any entrants for doing so. Please check these terms and conditions regularly as any changes are effective immediately upon posting to the Website.

41. The rights and remedies of the Promoter under these terms and conditions are without prejudice to its rights under the law. These terms and conditions shall not create any rights or benefits enforceable by any third party by virtue of the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

42. These terms and conditions are made under English law. Any dispute or claim that an entrant or the Promoter brings in relation to or in connection with these terms and conditions or the promotion will be decided on the basis of English law by the English courts alone.

Entrants can access the Website by either: 1. clicking on the link in a promotional email; 2. scanning the QR code displayed in any participating pub; or 3. following the live link on a relevant social media post. Alternatively, teams can register using an in-pub form and providing the required contact details.
  • Teams must be able to attend all scheduled fixtures between 2nd February 2026 and 1st March 2026
  • Stage 1: Teams play a four-week round robin league (best of 3 legs, 501 SIDO, each member plays a leg). The overall top scoring team at each pub progresses to the regional knockout (Stage 2).
  • Stage 2: Regional Knockout winners qualify for the Grand Final (single elimination, best of 3 legs).
  • Stage 3: Grand Final (single elimination, best of 7 legs).
The Promoter

Entry Requirements

3. This is an in-pub promotion, however internet access is required to participate. Each team should nominate a team captain and to enter, the team captain must register their team details on the Website (including their name, email address, date of birth and post code)

How to Enter

4. Team captains must register their teams via the online registration page on the Website or complete an in-pub registration. Required information for registration: Team Name, Captain’s Name, Email Address & Phone Number.

5. Teams must consist of four (4) players, all aged 18 or over. No team member may be an employee of the Promoter.

6. Teams must be able to fulfil any fixtures scheduled between 2nd February 2026 and 28th March 2026

7. Tournament Structure:

a) Stage 1: In-Pub Round Robin League: 2nd February 2026 – 1st March 2026

  • Teams play a four-week round robin league. The number of teams participating in each pub’s league may vary. Fixtures and scheduling are managed by the nominated league manager at each participating pub and will be communicated by the nominated league manager to each team captain using the contact details provided on registration.
  • All matches in Stage 1 must be played in person at the participating pub. Teams are responsible for attending their scheduled fixtures.
  • Failure to attend a scheduled fixture may result in forfeiture of points or elimination, at the discretion of the nominated league manager.
  • Fixtures cannot be rescheduled unless agreed by the nominated league manager. There is no guarantee of alternative dates.
  • Each match is played as best of 3 legs (first to 2), using 501 SIDO (Single In, Double Out) format.
  • The randomly nominated ‘home’ team throws first in each match.
  • Each team member must play a leg.
  • Players must check out on a double or bullseye.
  • Win = 2 points; no draws are possible.
  • If a team withdraws during Stage 1, all remaining opponents will receive a 2-0 win for unplayed fixtures.
    Each game must have a completed score card, counter-signed by both teams. Scores may be recorded on a paper chart or chalk board during play. Completed score cards must be handed in to the nominated league manager at the participating pub. Scores will be entered into the league manager system by the nominated league manager to determine standings.
  • The team with the highest number of points at the end of the four-week period will progress to the Regional Knockout (stage 2)

If any teams are tied after 4 weeks, league position will be determined by:

  • Points scored
  • Leg difference
  • Legs for
  • Head-to-head record between tied teams

b) Stage 2: Regional Knockout: 9th March 2026 – 13th March 2026

  • After 13th March 2026, all winning teams from Stage 1 will be allocated to one of 16 designated regions. Regional allocation will be designated by the Promoter and based on the pub’s location and the Promoters discretion to ensure balanced brackets. The Promoters decision is this respect in final.
  • The promoter will contact each winning team from Stage 1 by email using the Team Captains contact details that were submitted on registration to provide full details of the date and venue for the regional knockout.
  • Each region will host a single-elimination knockout bracket to determine its regional winner.
  • Matches are played as single leg elimination using the 501 SIDO format.
  • Each team member alternates are every three darts.
  • The winner of each regional bracket (16 in total) will qualify for Stage 3 (Grand Final).

c) Stage 3: Grand Final

  • All 16 regional winning teams from Stage 2 will be invited to compete in the Grand Final.
  • The Grand Final shall comprise a single elimination bracket, best of 7 legs (first to 4), 501 SIDO.
  • Each team member plays a leg.
  • The Grand Final, the winners will take part in competition stages,
    a) Group stage qualifiers
    b) Quarter-finals;
    c) Semi-finals;
    d) Final.

8. If a team cannot fulfil a fixture, their scheduled opponent will receive a 2-0 win.

The Prizes

9. Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash equivalent is available.

10. Main Prize money distribution:

a) The £10,000 main prize money for the winning team will be paid in full by BACS transfer to the nominated bank account of the registered team captain of the winning team.

b) It is the sole responsibility of the team captain to distribute the prize money among the team members. The Promoter shall have no involvement in and accepts no liability or responsibility whatsoever for the division, allocation, or distribution of the main prize money between team members.

c) All team members acknowledge and agree that any disputes or claims relating to the division of the main prize money are strictly a matter between the team members themselves and the Promoter shall not be required to intervene, mediate, or resolve any such disputes.

d) The Promoter’s obligation is discharged in full upon payment of the main prize money to the team captain and no further claims will be accepted.

Regional Knockout and the Grand Final winners

11. The Promoter will take all reasonable steps to contact the winning team to attend the Regional Knockout and the Grand Final event. The Promoter shall use the contact details submitted by the Team Captain on registration.

12. In the event that a winning team from Stage 1 is unable to attend their allocated Regional Knockout fixture for any reason, they will forfeit their right to participate in the competition. The team will not be reallocated to a different region or offered an alternative fixture and no compensation will be provided. It is the responsibility of each team to ensure availability for the allocated Regional Knockout date. Failure to attend will result in automatic elimination from the competition.

13. In the event that any winning team from Stage 2 is unable to attend the Grand Final then places will be reallocated at the Promoter discretion. Any team or team member who is unable to attend the Grand Final (whether that be due to matters outside their control or otherwise) forfeits their right to participate and surrenders their claim to all or any part of the prizes.

14. The Promoter is not responsible for any costs or inconvenience incurred by winners who are unable to attend the Grand Final for any reason.

15. The Grand Final will take place on Friday 10th April 2026 at The Boundary, Lea Vale, Broadmeadows, South Normanton, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 3NA.

16. All winning teams attending the Grand Final will receive:

  • x 4 tickets to the Marston’s Grand Final (1 ticket per team member) on Tuesday 24th March 2026 at The Boundary, Lea Vale, Broadmeadows, South Normanton, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 3NA.
